Shelby P. Sanford, MD
Radiation Oncology
 Shelby P. Sanford, MD received his medical degree from the University
of Alabama School of Medicine. After completing his internship at the
University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham, Dr. Sanford completed his residency at the University of Alabama Department of Radiation Oncology. While at the University of Alabama, he served for one year as an American Cancer Society Clinical Fellow and as an instructor for one year before moving into private practice.
Dr. Sanford is board certified in radiation oncology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Alabama Society of Radiation Oncologists, a fellow of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and a past member of the American College of Radiation Oncology Board of Chancellors. Dr. Sanford is also a founding member of the Southern Association for Oncology.
