Robert Avery, MD, FACP obtained his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at MadiganArmy Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Washington and a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Dr. Avery is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He holds licensure in Alabama and Missouri.

Dr. Avery is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He has written numerous articles, abstracts and a textbook chapter.

Dr. Avery enjoys spending time quality time with his wife, Carole and their five children.
